Hydroinformatics Engineer We are looking for an interdisciplinary engineer with experience in hydraulic modeling, optimization, and data analytics to develop and deploy digital twin simulation services for water and wastewater networks. Core Responsibilities Configure, calibrate and deploy digital twin simulation services to optimize the operation of water and wastewater networks. Apply optimization techniques and data analytics over sensor data and hydraulic models to solve complex water resources issues. Communicate and collaborate with engineering teams and decision makers to define problem statements, strategize solution approaches, and implement solutions. Develop and manage large datasets and translate data analytics into language understood by engineers and data analysts. Participate in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (advanced technical degrees or training preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience in water, sewer, or stormwater modeling using hydraulic modeling software such as EPANET or SWMM. Experience programming in languages such as Python, R, C, or MATLAB. Experience with modern data science workflows for data access, filtering, geospatial analysis, and model parameter estimation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self‑motivated, resourceful, and eager to develop new skills. A creative mind and hands‑on problem‑solving abilities. Fluent in English. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of data management modeling tools. Working knowledge of Agile methodology and Jira. Practical knowledge of modern data science methods for hydraulic and model development. Previous practical experience working in a water utility, organization, or setting.
