With the support of HR Specialists and the HR Business Partner team: Talent Acquisition: Partner with managers to develop hiring plans and support the recruitment process by designing job advertisements, developing tailored interview guides, and being an active participant in interviews. Compensation: Advise managers on our compensation philosophy, support cyclical salary reviews, provide recommendations on promotional increases, and collaborate with talent acquisition to determine starting salaries. Labour Relations: Interpret collective agreements and contribute to harmonious working relationships between our managers, employees, and union representatives. Employee Relations: Support managers through performance management, promoting continued development and recognition of strong performance and speedily addressing performance challenges. Organizational Design: Advise managers on team design and role definition. Special Initiatives: Participate in various HR initiatives to build your HR domain expertise and contribute to continuous improvement. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or equivalent with coursework in Human Resources Previous client service experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Enthusiastic contributor with strong initiative Excellent business acumen, communication skills, and analytical ability Ability to work collaboratively and build cooperative relationships Preferred Qualifications Coursework in Industrial Relations Co‑op student experience in Business or Human Resources Certified Human Resources Practitioner (CHRP) designation in progress It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems‑Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed.
