The Lead Engineer serves as the critical link between the client’s engineering team and the offshore delivery team for aerospace structural design projects. This role ensures seamless coordination, compliance with aerospace standards, and timely delivery of high-quality engineering outputs across aircraft programs.Key Responsibilities 1. Client Interface & CoordinationAct as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the client’s structural engineering teamCoordinate daily interactions with client stakeholders (Design, Stress, MRB, Manufacturing teams)Translate client requirements into actionable inputs for offshore teamsParticipate in technical reviews, design discussions, and program meetings2. Structural Design & Analysis CoordinationCoordinate design and development of aircraft structural components (fuselage, wing, empennage, interiors, etc.)Ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as:FAR/CS regulationsCompany-specific design practices (e.g., ABD, BAC, DHC standards)Review and validate:2D drawings and 3D modelsStress analysis reportsModification packages and concessionsIndividually Execute the tasks based on the requirementsSupport on the Enovia upload/download/ links creation etc.3. Tools & PLM CoordinationWork within client PLM systems such as:CATIA (V5/V6)ENOVIATeamcenter (if applicable)Ensure proper data management, version control, and release processesSupport issue resolution related to CAD/PLM workflows4. Change Management & MRB SupportCoordinate engineering changes (ECR/ECO) and ensure proper implementationSupportMRB (Material Review Board)activities:Disposition of non-conformances (Use-As-Is, Repair, Rework)Ensure timely closure of design queries and shop floor issues5. Manufacturing & Production SupportInterface with manufacturing teams for build issues and design clarificationsSupport concession handling and deviation managementEnsure producibility and manufacturability of designs6. Project Tracking & DeliveryTrack deliverables, schedules, and milestonesIdentify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecksProvide daily/weekly status reports to stakeholdersEnsure adherence to SLAs and KPIs7. Quality & ComplianceEnsure deliverables meet aerospace quality standardsParticipate in design reviews, audits, and compliance checksMaintain documentation traceability and configuration controlRequired Skills & Qualifications EducationBachelor’s / Master’s degree in Aerospace / Mechanical EngineeringTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of:Aircraft structures and materials (metallic & sheet metal)Structural design principles and load pathsStress analysis fundamentalsHands‑on experience with:CATIA (mandatory)ENOVIADrawing standards and GD&TDomain KnowledgeFamiliarity with:Aircraft certification requirements (FAR/CS 25)Engineering change processes (ECR/ECO)MRB and concession workflowsSoft SkillsStrong communication and stakeholder managementAbility to work in onsite‑offshore delivery modelsProblem‑solving and decision‑making skillsAbility to handle high‑pressure project environmentsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience working with OEM programsExperience in digital mock‑up (DMU) and clash analysisAccurate and timely coordination of structural design deliverablesZero‑defect quality in drawings/models released to clientEffective closure of design queries and MRB issuesSeamless communication between onsite and offshore teamsTypical Work EnvironmentClient‑facing role at OEM or Tier‑1 supplier locationCollaboration with global engineering teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
