The Digital Communications Specialist supports the planning, creation, execution, and optimization of CNLA’s public-facing digital communications across multiple brands and initiatives, including Plants Love You TM, Communities in Bloom, Green Cities Foundation, and Garden Centres Canada. This role is responsible for helping deliver engaging social media campaigns, maintaining and updating websites, supporting paid digital initiatives, and producing high-quality written and visual content that aligns with brand standards and organizational priorities. This is a hands‑on role for someone who is organized, adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, complex, not‑for‑profit environment with multiple stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines. The successful candidate will help take day‑to‑day social media execution and website maintenance to the next level, while strengthening digital consistency, responsiveness, accessibility (AODA) and search performance. Key Responsibilities Plan, create, schedule, publish, and monitor content across CNLA and affiliated Support the execution of multi‑channel campaigns that build awareness, engagement, and traffic Maintain and update websites in Webflow, WordPress, and related platforms Support paid digital campaigns, including Meta Ads, Google Ads, and related campaign setup, monitoring, and optimization Apply basic SEO best practices to website content and campaign landing pages Monitor and report on social, web, and campaign performance using platform analytics and reporting tools Manage content calendars, scheduling workflows, approvals, and asset organization across multiple brands Draft clear, accurate, audience‑focused copy for social media, websites, ads, email, and other digital channels Create basic graphics and digital assets using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva Ensure content follows strict brand guidelines and maintains consistency across platforms Monitor comments, inboxes, reviews, and public‑facing engagement, escalating issues where needed Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and stakeholders to gather content, meet deadlines, and support campaign delivery Support photography, short‑form video, and content capture as needed Help ensure websites and digital content meet accessibility, quality assurance, and usability standards (AODA, WCAG, CASTL) Participate in the development and execution of the awards shows and industry events. Perform other related communications and digital marketing duties as assigned Qualifications Post‑secondary education in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, digital media, or a related field 3+ years of relevant experience in digital communications, social media, marketing, or website content management Demonstrated experience in planning and executing public‑facing social media campaigns Experience maintaining websites using Webflow, WordPress, or similar CMS platforms Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills Experience with paid digital platforms such as Meta Ads and Google Ads is a strong asset Working knowledge of SEO, website analytics, and campaign reporting Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva is an asset Experience with email marketing platforms and social scheduling tools is an asset Strong organization, project coordination, and time management skills Comfortable taking direction, managing shifting priorities, and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders Experience in a not‑for‑profit, association, or multi‑brand environment is an asset Must be able to pass a background check What We Offer Full‑time role with hybrid flexibility Milton Head Office or remote arrangement, depending on the candidate and situation Professional Development Technology provided A collaborative communications team working across high‑profile national brands and #J-18808-Ljbffr
