OVERVIEW Works with stakeholders to develop and implement innovative sourcing and demand management strategies to achieve business and cost management objectives and minimize risk associated with supplier spend. Hourly rate: $50.00 - $60.00 / hour CAD RESPONSIBILITIES Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business groups, influencing and negotiating to achieve business objectives. Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and business implications, and assists in the development of strategic plans while identifying emerging issues and trends to inform decision‑making. Manages and implements sourcing strategy projects throughout their full lifecycle, leveraging appropriate systems and tools to ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting on project progress. This includes running competitive events, conducting supplier contract negotiations, and driving end‑to‑end execution of sourcing category initiatives. Develops Category Management Frameworks and Sourcing Strategies, and helps determine business priorities and the best sequence for execution. Leads sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, contract negotiations and renewals. Provides market assessments to identify preferred suppliers, evaluates and selects suppliers, performs initial supplier risk assessments, and creates, modifies, renews, or terminates contracts as required. Conducts analysis to inform strategic recommendations and develops business cases to assess opportunities. Breaks down complex problems and synthesizes data into actionable insights. Identifies areas of opportunity through analysis of industries, supply markets, cost models, supplier category spend, and key supplier performance. Builds and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and developing a clear understanding of business partner needs and expectations. Communicates key messages, recommendations, and results to all managerial levels and keeps stakeholders informed throughout project lifecycles. Provides advice and guidance on category and supplier strategies, including end‑to‑end risk management requirements associated with outsourcing and supplier risk. Applies disciplined methodology and procurement policies to the procurement of goods and services, and works with suppliers to create value, drive savings, and mitigate risk. Leads change management programs of varying scope, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives. Manages multiple programs and projects simultaneously, resolving conflicting priorities as needed. Designs and produces regular and ad‑hoc reports and dashboards. Uses performance measures to monitor and track progress and address issues. Maintains knowledge of leading procurement practices, promotes adoption of procurement standards, and continuously upgrades knowledge of sourcing methodologies with a focus on strategic category development. QUALIFICATIONS 5–7 years of relevant strategic sourcing, supply chain, and/or procurement experience, with a post‑secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in tech infrastructure sourcing, specifically hardware, software, and support Familiarity with enterprise suppliers such as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Bell and other telcos, Broadcom, and similar In‑depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes, procedures, and controls In‑depth knowledge of relevant risk and regulatory requirements In‑depth knowledge of sourcing within financial services or technology industries In‑depth knowledge of business analysis, project delivery practices, and standards across the project lifecycle Experience in financial services, financial management, or cost management Proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet analysis Strong negotiation knowledge and ability Familiarity with sourcing and procurement systems and applications Experience compiling, synthesizing, and drawing insights from a variety of research sources Demonstrated ability to assess, quantify, and prioritize risks Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong collaboration and team skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Strong influence and stakeholder management skills Data‑driven decision‑making approach We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
