You’ll play a key role in shaping Alstom’s procurement strategies for Civil Works, ensuring supplier excellence, and driving value through strategic partnerships. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management, quality teams), negotiate contracts with suppliers, and oversee supplier performance to achieve Quality, Cost, Delivery & Technical (QCDT) objectives, and much more. You’ll specifically take care of managing supplier contracts and executing procurement strategies, but also contribute to the development of innovative supplier solutions to differentiate Alstom in the market. We’ll look to you for: Leading the supplier selection process and managing supplier contracts from creation through execution. Supporting project management for the Civil Works commodity and consolidating project needs. Contributing to commodity strategy and supplier panel development. Negotiating with top-tier suppliers in complex and challenging environments. Monitoring procurement project QCDT and legal project evolution. Ensuring on-time delivery and quality, particularly during ramp-up phases. Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships while fostering innovation and performance improvements. Managing supplier risks and implementing mitigation plans. Promoting Alstom’s Code of Ethics and ensuring adherence to ethical procurement practices. All about you A bachelor’s degree in Purchasing or Engineering, or a related field. 5 to 10 years of experience in the industry, with at least three years in purchasing roles. Technical expertise and market knowledge of Civil Works or subcontractor management (preferred). Strong interpersonal skills, including leadership, communication, and the ability to influence and convince stakeholders. Experience working in a matrix environment and collaborating across functions. Proficiency in negotiation and strategic vision development. Fluency in English with an international mindset. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., GSI, ARIBA). A results‑oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering on objectives. The expected compensation for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
