Mine Geologist, Junior (Resource Development Beat Geologist) Reporting to the Supervisor, Resource Development, the Resource Development Beat Geologist plays a vital role in supporting both Engineering and Mine Operations teams with a focus on resource integrity, geological oversight, and field execution. Your Key Responsibilities Provide geological input for grade control, stope design, and stockpile management. Conduct geological mapping and geotechnical data interpretation to guide production decisions. Participate in key geological projects, including specialized mapping and integration of structural data into the geological model. Maintain strong communication with the Mining Department to align geology with operations. Conduct daily grade control activities, including chip, channel, and muck sampling. Map underground headings and development faces with a focus on vein geometry, structure, and mineralization. Assist in identifying ore/waste boundaries to support mining decisions. Log diamond drill core (lithological, structural, and alteration logging), both underground and on surface. Communicate geological conditions and risks to operations teams in a timely manner. Assist with underground drillhole planning and targeting. Monitor drilling progress and ensure adherence to geological objectives. Support QA/QC protocols and sample handling procedures. Assist in updating geological interpretations of narrow vein systems. Contribute to stope design inputs and orebody understanding. Enter and validate geological data in company databases to maintain accurate and organized geological records. Support generation of daily and weekly production geology reports. Maintain safe work practices and procedures, including following communication requirements, both on surface and underground. Perform any other duties as assigned by the department. Your Knowledge and Skills Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and within a fast‑paced, constantly changing team environment. Positive and proactive attitude toward safety. Your Education and Experience The successful candidate will have: B.Sc. in Geology, with preference given to candidates registered as a Professional Geoscientist in Saskatchewan. Minimum of one (1) year or more of relevant mining experience. Exposure to narrow‑vein mining is considered an asset. Experience with Leapfrog, MX Deposit, and Imago is an asset. About Our Working Conditions Schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at a remote camp requiring fly‑in/fly‑out with pick‑up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge.
