As we transition toward a product-led operating model, you will serve as a key financial partner to teams across the business—helping to manage, monitor, and interpret the financial performance of our internal investment portfolio, which spans product, technology, growth initiatives, and other strategic "bets." As a key member of the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? team, you will work closely with leaders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to bring financial structure and analysis to our decision-making. A DAY IN THE LIFE Act as the finance lead for a portfolio of cross-functional investments ("bets"), partnering with initiative owners to define financial expectations and evaluate tradeoffs Track actual spend and budget alignment across key initiatives, highlighting risks and surfacing opportunities to reallocate resources Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI frameworks to support our investment allocation processes Lead or support budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple departments (e.g., Product, Technology, Marketing, Operations) Maintain and improve driver-based models in Cube, ensuring assumptions reflect evolving business needs Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages with clear variance commentary for leadership and initiative owners Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to understand the context and objectives behind each initiative Support product/program managers in building business cases and scenario models as part of our capital allocation process Help improve internal alignment around investment criteria, reporting expectations, and funding cycles Use tools like Cube and Tableau to streamline financial processes, improve visibility, and enhance reporting agility Collaborate with FP&A leadership to evolve how we track and manage our investment portfolio over time Contribute to broader Finance team initiatives around automation, forecast accuracy, and agile financial planning WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE 4–6+ years of experience in FP&A or investment analysis roles Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups (e.g., Product, Tech, Marketing, or Ops), ideally in a technology-forward or evolving business environment Proficiency with NetSuite, Cube, and Tableau is required Strong Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills; SQL or familiarity with data tools is a plus Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and operate with a high degree of ownership Strong communication skills and comfort working with non-finance stakeholders Preferred Experience supporting capital planning or portfolio investment processes in a matrixed organization Familiarity with product-led growth (PLG), agile funding models, or internal innovation portfolios Experience working in companies that are mid-transformation—from traditional models toward tech-enabled or product-led operations Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA, CPA) COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary Range: $80k – $100k per annum (The actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.)
