Industrial Electrical Engineer – AtkinsRéalis AtkinsRéalis is currently seeking a Senior Industrial Electrical Engineer to support the growth of the office and the existing team. Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical plans and single‑line diagrams. Prepare specifications for the purchase of: Low‑ and medium‑voltage switchgear Motor control centers Power transformers DC systems and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) Analyze electrical equipment bids. Coordinate projects directly with the client. Supervise and actively participate in electrical design. Supervise a team of engineers and technicians throughout project execution. Perform detailed low‑ and medium‑voltage electrical distribution design. Design low‑ and medium‑voltage system cabling. Design cable tray systems. Design electrical motor connections. Design grounding systems. Participate in or lead short‑circuit, coordination, protection, and arc‑flash studies using EasyPower, ETAP, or other software (an asset). Calculate and prepare protection relay settings. Act as the discipline lead on projects. Participate in the preparation of proposals. Qualifications Hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the electrical field, particularly in the Mining & Metals, petrochemical, and aluminum industries. Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ). Have strong knowledge of industrial environments. Knowledge and proficiency with ETAP, EasyPower, or other electrical study software (an asset). Knowledge and proficiency with Arc Flash standards (an asset). Ability to lead electrical projects. Able to communicate in French (spoken and written) and in English (spoken).
