Opportunity We’re looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our Aviso learning and development team for 12 months. Reporting to the Leader of L&D, the role focuses on developing and delivering best‑in‑class training programs to our advisor partners. Responsibilities Oversee the design and development of training, including scoping learning objectives, understanding target audiences, determining activities and collateral requirements, and resourcing technical training programs for advisors, associates, assistants, and leaders. Deliver live training via webinar and maintain and expand the current library of recorded and e‑learning modules for advisor business systems, including Dataphile and proprietary software. Build and maintain an inventory of advisor‑friendly resources and tools such as reference guides, process maps, helpful hints, best practices, and FAQs. Provide in‑depth and up‑to‑date knowledge of the relevant business, including products, policies, practices, systems, and procedures. Liaise with Subject Matter Experts for content validation throughout the design and development process. Keep current on CIRO‑ID and CIRO‑MF regulations and other education requirements. Conduct assessments of internal departmental training needs and assist with content development and implementation. Assess, track and report continuing education credits for the advisor network. Work on a variety of training projects and initiatives as required. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of wealth‑management experience within the investment and/or insurance industry; preference for advisor/client‑facing experience. Experience with advisor training, including electronic course design/delivery, in‑person training and/or virtual training; understanding of adult education/learning styles and industry trends. Familiarity with learning design/delivery software such as Articulate, Vyond, etc., and LMS functionalities. Post‑secondary education in a related discipline. Completion of CSC, CIFC, or LLQP is an asset. CFP, PFP or other equivalencies are assets. Demonstrated content development and instructional design experience. Strong training, presentation, facilitation and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to deliver learning through virtual classroom, webinars, self‑paced learning, seminars and conference calls. Knowledge of adult teaching principles. Demonstrated ability to articulate and present ideas clearly. Excellent writing, editing and communication skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Proactive, self‑starter who works with minimal supervision. Well organized and able to meet deadlines. Good problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Results‑oriented with ownership and accountability. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong team player. Commitment to exceptional customer service. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Innovative, resourceful, creative and adaptable to changing business environment. Fluent in English; bilingual French is an asset. Salary This position is posted with an expected salary range of $83,000–$90,000 CAD annually.
