Responsibilities Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs for customers. Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems. Provide excellent customer service while explaining automotive repairs and issues. Plan repair procedures using charts, manuals, and experience. Test parts and systems for functionality. Perform primary auto care and maintenance tasks (oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotation). Replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other components. Perform routine vehicle maintenance and general mechanic work. Show willingness to learn through hands‑on experience. Assist in keeping the repair shop clean and organized. Maintain a professional demeanor. Requirements Experience with automotive and engine repair or auto mechanic training is required. ASE certifications are necessary. Valid driver's license. Associate’s degree in auto maintenance and repair. Ability to present a professional image while providing friendly customer service. Keep accurate records (read, interpret, and transcribe data). Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast‑paced environment. May lift objects up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience as a lube technician or prepared for on‑job training. Understanding of automotive air‑conditioning systems. Ability to use diagnostic equipment. Experience with heavy equipment, diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge, or prepared for on‑job training. Good hand‑eye coordination.
