Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this role leads sourcing and supplier strategy for assigned strategic food categories supporting Tim Hortons restaurants across North America. The Manager develops and executes category strategy, leads negotiations, manages supplier relationships, and delivers finance‑defensible savings while protecting supply continuity, food safety, and brand standards. The role partners closely with Marketing, Brand, Operations, Quality Assurance, R&D, Supply Chain, and Finance to align procurement decisions with business priorities and franchisee economics. Responsibilities Develop and execute category sourcing strategy aligned to Tim Hortons brand and operational priorities, including supplier segmentation, contingency planning, and dual‑sourcing where appropriate. Lead complex negotiations and competitive tenders end‑to‑end— from market analysis and RFP design through award, contracting, and onboarding—partnering with Legal on commercial terms. Build bottom‑up should‑cost models, benchmark analysis, and financial models to evaluate supplier proposals, validate market price movements, and defend cost positions. Research and interpret commodity, industry, and supplier market trends; integrate this intelligence into category strategy and supplier negotiations. Assess and execute commodity hedging and forward coverage strategies relevant to assigned categories, working with raw material suppliers to deliver supply stability and protect restaurant profitability. Identify, source, and onboard new suppliers; manage supplier transitions and exits when required, in partnership with Quality Assurance and Operations. Establish supplier performance scorecards, lead quarterly business reviews, and drive supplier development, corrective action, and innovation pipelines. Identify and deliver hard savings, cost avoidance, and working capital improvements; ensure savings are accurately classified, baselined, and signed off by Finance. Assess and communicate category risk— supply, financial, geopolitical, regulatory—and lead mitigation planning with cross‑functional partners. Act as the procurement point of contact with assigned strategic suppliers, resolving issues impacting restaurant owners and the broader Tim Hortons system. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline required; MBA, CPA, CFA, or supply chain certification is an asset. 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or commercial roles within QSR, food and beverage manufacturing, CPG, or retail. Direct category experience in food and beverage procurement strongly preferred, including proteins, dairy, grains, oils, beverages, or commodities. Demonstrated track record of leading multi‑stakeholder negotiations and delivering measurable, finance‑defensible savings.Strong commodity literacy and ability to translate market intelligence into procurement action; familiarity with hedging, futures markets, and supplier raw material pass‑through is an asset. Advanced financial modeling and analytical capability—comfort building should‑cost, TCO, and scenario models from first principles. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence cross‑functionally and represent procurement credibly with senior internal partners and external suppliers. Self‑starter with strong organizational discipline and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under deadline pressure. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with procurement systems (SAP, Coupa, or similar) is an asset. Benefits Base salary range of $115,000–135,000 CAD. Base salary may vary based on experience, education, location, and skills. This position is eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus plan and may also be eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity grants through the long‑term incentive plan.
