Position Regional Vice President, South Western Ontario Location Hybrid – located in the GTA, Kitchener‑Waterloo, Guelph, Hamilton, or London area Travel Requirement 50‑75% Job Summary As Regional Vice President you will shape strategy, lead complex operations, and drive growth across multiple markets and brands. You will be accountable for overall dealership performance, leading General Managers and store teams, executing corporate programs, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role reports directly to the President and focuses on delivering strong financial results, operational efficiency, and strategic growth. Core Responsibilities Lead dealership operations across multiple markets and provinces, driving alignment with corporate objectives and financial performance across diverse OEM partners. Steer regional sales performance while optimizing operational efficiency and cost management to maintain profitability and enable reinvestment in strategic initiatives. Develop and roll out strategies that support business growth, sales execution, and brand consistency, tailoring them to each market and OEM brand. Build and maintain strong OEM partnerships, align on requirements, and lead strategic initiatives to achieve OEM scorecard targets through effective operations and team management. Define and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for regional teams, ensuring consistent tracking and achievement of sales targets. Identify and address underperforming stores, deploying additional resources and implementing targeted strategies to drive operational and financial improvement. Lead change‑management initiatives, guiding team members through transformational shifts and fostering adoption of the new business model. Benchmark regional performance against industry standards and identify opportunities for improvement. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer requirements in all regional activities. Provide leadership across market teams, including Variable Operations, HRBPs, Fixed Operations, and a Chief Controller, to ensure consistency, transparency, and performance. Partner with Home Office shared‑service business functions—Marketing, People & Culture, IT, Legal, etc.—to align strategies and achieve regional objectives. Hire, develop, and lead high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Identify internal talent and develop a strong leadership bench through succession planning for key roles. Contribute insights on regional market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to organizational strategy. Lead business planning and budgeting for regional operations, ensuring alignment with financial targets and operational goals. Required Qualifications Extensive Leadership Experience : Minimum 15 years in progressive leadership roles, including 5+ years at the senior executive level within automotive retail, OEM, or multi‑location business operations. Operational Expertise : Deep understanding of dealership operations—sales, F&I, fixed operations, and financial performance drivers. Influential Communicator and Leader : Exceptional written and verbal communication with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Strategic Acumen : Proven success in developing and executing regional strategies that drive profitability, efficiency, and growth. Cross‑Functional Leadership : Experience building strong partnerships across diverse teams and collaborating with shared‑service functions such as HR, Marketing, IT, and Legal. Program Execution : Skilled at rolling out corporate initiatives while maintaining brand consistency and performance standards. Analytical and Results‑Oriented : Strong analytical skills, focus on KPIs, benchmarking, and continuous improvement. Merger and Acquisition Experience : Involved in M&A, supporting integration of newly acquired stores. Education : Post‑secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
