Opportunity We are excited to announce the opening of a full‑time internship in our Production Engineering Department, starting in Fall 2026. This internship will run for four months and will be conducted under the guidance of the Manager, Test Engineering. The Grass Valley Test Engineering team focuses on supporting new product introduction by developing and implementing production test solutions, as well as providing ongoing support for existing factory products. The intern will collaborate with test‑engineering peers and cross‑functional team members to develop the overall manufacturing test plan and associated technical documentation for the project. Your Role Interact with Test Engineering peers, cross‑functional team members, and program management to develop an understanding of the product and the testing objectives. Contribute to the development, validation, and deployment of automated production test solutions for PCBA, product, and system level validation as defined by the overall manufacturing test plan. Develop technical work procedures and support/reference documentation for production test solutions. Develop, document, and manage a Test Engineering project task list and schedule. Maintain and execute assigned tasks in alignment with the overall project schedule and milestones. Who you are Enrolled in an internship program and working towards a bachelor’s degree in mechatronics or a related program. Ability to perform required electrical and mechanical design. Fluency in French and English, both oral and written. Interpersonal and communication skills to support working with a wide variety of personalities within a geographically dispersed team. Experience and understanding of different broadcast audio and video interface formats and associated standards, including analog composite, analog component, SD SDI, HD SDI, 3G, 4K, video reference formats, timecode, and IP video. Advanced PC knowledge in areas such as hardware drivers, custom software, and low‑level OS settings. Experience with networking interfaces such as TCP/IP, Telnet, FTP, SNMP, and basic network debugging. Experience with common instrument communication interfaces such as RS232 and RS422. Experience with Microsoft Office tools, SharePoint, Atlassian Confluence, and Jira. Software programming experience under Windows; embedded real‑time software development experience an asset. Experience with software revision control and bug‑tracking systems such as GIT, Stash, SVN, or Rational ClearCase; experience with SolidWorks an asset.
