Contaminated Sites Project Manager – Remediation Program Management Team WSP’s Remediation Program Management (RPM) team is seeking a Contaminated Sites Project Manager to lead risk management and closure of contaminated sites across Canada. The role involves designing, overseeing field work, preparing technical reports, and managing client relationships. Responsibilities Create a safe and positive environment for colleagues, ensuring compliance with health and safety plans. Prepare health and safety plans and emergency response plans. Prepare proposals and cost estimates. Schedule field staff and subcontractors. Write reports, including conclusions and recommendations. Track project accounting, reporting, and budget requirements under WSP Master Services Agreements. Train junior staff in environmental practices (Phase I & II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, remediation oversight). Train staff on site‑specific health and safety. Manage client relationships and collaborate across the national RPM team. Provide guidance and mentorship to environmental scientists. Develop a personal career development plan with specific goals. Comply with WSP Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policy and client HSE policies at all times. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field (sciences or engineering). Minimum 8 years of experience in contaminated site assessments. Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and a safety‑conscious attitude. Analytical skills to recommend next steps for client sites. Business acumen and financial management experience, including annual budgeting. Experience with soil and groundwater sampling and remediation. Understanding of Ontario environmental regulations. Professional designation preferred. Experience in the oil and gas sector is an asset.
