Position Overview The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full‑time teaching stream position in Foundations of Psychology. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2026. Responsibilities Undertake undergraduate teaching responsibilities at the U of T STG campus (downtown Toronto). Prepare and deliver lecture material, develop curriculum, and create online instructional resources. Engage in pedagogical inquiry and support teaching‑related scholarly activities. Qualifications Earned a PhD degree in Psychology or a related discipline by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter. Demonstrated excellence in teaching, with experience in a degree‑granting program including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and online material design. Expertise in introductory‐level and foundational psychology, or in methods/statistics, within undergraduate curricula. Clear commitment to equitable, inclusive teaching practices and a demonstrated record of teaching‑related scholarly work. Strong references, with at least one letter primarily addressing teaching excellence. Salary and Location Salary range: $110,000 – $160,000 CAD per annum, depending on experience. Negotiations beyond this range may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates. Location: St. George campus (downtown Toronto).
