Airswift is working with one of our major clients in the Oil & Gas industry to find an Administrative Assistant to join their team in Cold Lake, AB . This is a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension. Main functions Provides administrative support to a department and/or an individual. This position would typically include a senior Administrative Assistant who is able to manage, train and mentor other office staff, lead projects, handle confidential and sensitive data. Moreover, the nature of the job is generally creating rather than maintaining and developing rather than monitoring. Duties may include: Typing, filing, answering phones, scheduling, calendaring, record keeping, coordinating meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies and/or sorting/distributing mail. May work on special projects to include recording, compiling, retrieving, reporting and analyzing information. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize. Strong communication skills and organizational skills are required. Proficiency with MS Office required. Works with moderate work direction, and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving. Skills and Qualifications Administrative background in Oil and Gas companies or related industries (Construction, Engineering, Mining...) Data entry experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook Strong administrative coordination abilities Customer service experience Experience managing more than 1 client (6 - 10 calendars to manage) Purchase Orders and Expense Management experience SAP, Kronos and Sharepoint knowledge is an asset Work schedule/ conditions Professionals must drive a personal vehicle to the site, which is a 30-minute drive from Cold Lake and Bonnyville. 41.5 hours in one week working Friday and the second week is 34 hours with Friday off. Shifts can be from 6:30 – 3:30 or 7:00 – 4:00. No overtime will apply.
