The Vice President, Exploration will serve as a senior member of the executive leadership team and will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s exploration strategy to support long-term resource growth and shareholder value creation. This role provides technical leadership across exploration activities, including target generation, drilling programs, geological modelling, and resource definition. The successful candidate will work closely with operational, corporate development, sustainability, and investor-facing teams to support corporate growth objectives within a publicly listed environment. The position also requires oversight of exploration programs to ensure technical excellence, capital efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strong engagement with Indigenous communities and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement exploration strategies aligned with corporate priorities and capital allocation objectives. Identify and advance opportunities capable of delivering meaningful mineral resource growth. Evaluate and prioritize exploration targets across early-stage, brownfield, and advanced projects. Balance technical risk, timeline considerations, and potential value creation across the portfolio. Provide executive-level oversight of geological, geophysical, geochemical, drilling, and resource modelling activities. Ensure exploration programs are executed according to industry-leading technical standards. Support or supervise technical disclosure requirements and Qualified Person responsibilities where applicable. Ensure exploration activities comply with applicable securities regulations, permitting requirements, and environmental standards. Oversee exploration budgets, schedules, and reporting processes. Participate in investor presentations, technical discussions, and site visits. Provide technical input for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic evaluations. Promote a strong culture of safety and operational accountability. Ensure exploration activities align with environmental, social, and governance commitments. Integrate sustainability considerations into exploration planning and decision-making. Qualifications & Experience Advanced degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline. Approximately 15–20 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, including senior leadership responsibilities. Demonstrated track record of exploration success, including discoveries, resource expansion, and project advancement. Strong technical expertise across multiple deposit types and exploration methodologies. Experience working within publicly listed mining or resource companies. Proven ability to lead teams across multiple jurisdictions and project stages. Strong commercial acumen and experience managing exploration budgets and capital allocation.
