About the Role We’re looking for a versatile, persistent product engineer who’ll own a large portion of one of our products and deliver end‑to‑end features. The engineer will research competitors, write product specs, build wireframes, and implement solutions with minimal process. Responsibilities Own product features end-to-end, from discovery to shipping. Research competitors and write product specs. Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows. Design and build scalable backend and frontend components. Deploy features with CI/CD, ensuring production quality. Build reusable building blocks across the stack. Collaborate with design, product, and infrastructure teams. Examples of past work include: Automated interview scheduling that calculates times from interviewers. Declarative filter architecture for creating complex filters. Feature to allow users to sign offers within Ashby. Qualifications Strong ability to work across the full stack. Experience tackling product and technical ambiguity. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Seek to create leverage by automating or abstracting tedious work. Comfortable with fast‑paced delivery, balancing speed and quality. Experience with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, Postgres, Redis—though not required. Technical Stack TypeScript (frontend & backend), React, GraphQL API, Node.js, Postgres, Redis. No prior experience required; a love of typed languages helps.
