Duration: 6-month contract with potential extensions Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Job Overview We are seeking a senior Pega Platform Operations - Director to stabilize, optimize, and govern the Pega ecosystem across production and non-production environments. This is not a traditional Pega development role—it is a leadership position focused on platform reliability, operations, governance, and continuous improvement. You will act as the primary owner of platform health, driving incident management, performance optimization, release governance, and automation initiatives in a large enterprise environment. Responsibilities Own operational health, stability, and reliability of the Pega platform (Pega 8.x+) Lead L2/L3 support, platform operations, and SRE functions Drive incident and problem management, including RCA and MTTR reduction Oversee environment governance across Dev, QA, UAT, performance, and production Manage release governance, CI/CD pipelines, deployment standards, and rollback strategies Perform performance tuning, clustering, upgrades, patching, and health checks Implement monitoring, observability, and proactive alerting (AIOps/automation-first approach) Ensure security and compliance (RBAC, audit logging, patching, vulnerability management) Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning/testing Collaborate with architecture, engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and vendor teams Act as senior escalation point for critical incidents and service disruptions Provide leadership reporting and stakeholder communication Requirements Must-Have 10-15+ years in platform operations, application support, or technology operations 5+ years leading L2/L3 support, SRE, or platform operations teams Strong experience with Pega platform operations (Pega 8.x+) Proven track record in incident management, RCA, and reliability improvement Experience with CI/CD, DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, Git) and release governance Knowledge of cloud/infrastructure (Kubernetes, OpenShift, hybrid/on-prem) Strong ITIL/ITSM governance mindset Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills Nice-to-Have: Experience in BFSI / insurance / regulated environments Exposure to monitoring/observability tools (Broadcom preferred) Experience with AIOps, automation, and self-healing platforms ITIL or cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) #IndKyn Please note this is for a contract position with one of our clients and not a fulltime employment role with Kyndryl Canada #J-18808-Ljbffr
