Purpose of the Job: The incumbent role is to provide guidance and advice on the administration, interpretation, and application on a wide range of human resources policies, procedures, processes and compliance. The HR Generalist provides strategic support and expertise in employee engagement and organizational culture, ensuring that team member experiences align with the organization’s mission, vision, and objectives. This position requires an HR professional with a broad knowledge of HR functions and specialized skills in engagement initiatives, advocacy, and collaboration to foster a positive workplace culture based on trust. Responsibilities: Act as a main resource for employees & provide support as needed for all HR-related questions Provide guidance to Managers/Supervisors for across all areas of the employee lifecycle including performance management, labour relations/responding to grievances, employee recognition/engagement, employee benefits, leaves of absence, etc Lead initiatives related to employee recognition and retention through our online platform Act as a resource person for all (HRIS) changes / related issues. Provide support to payroll Provide support related to HR policies, procedures, and practices and update accordingly to reflect the evolving needs of the business Build, provide and update reports related to HR function. Manage Health& Safety (CNESST), disability files (STD/LTD) and contestation, and other leaves of absence. Administrate/coordinate the medical exam/eye exam review as per policies requirements Manage the off boarding process & conduct exit interviews Lead the Employee Engagement Committee & planning of monthly activities for employees. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization including developing learning opportunities, listening strategies, and action plans. Ensure effective utilization and implementation of technology in the role, including survey tools, communication platforms, newsletters, presentations, and related channels Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment. Ensure a positive workplace environment by promoting engagement and open communication. Act as a facilitator in organisational changes and implement change management best practices Collaborate with the HR team to implement HR initiatives that support organizational goals. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Associate Director, HR. Education & Experience: Bachelor`s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations Member of the HR Quebec Association (ordre CRHA, CRIA) Experience Required: 3 to 5 years of related experience Experienced within a union environment Skills Required: Knowledge of GMPs as well as pharmaceutical experience would be an asset MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Bilinguism is essential (spoken and written) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Can manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time Sense of urgency Teamwork Leadership Results oriented Customer oriented Salary ranges from $59,031 to $98,384 depending on education level and years of experience.
