Program Manager, True North Sustainable Food Fund This is a 21-month, full-time contract position ending March 31, 2028. Responsibilities Coordinate the launch and ongoing delivery of the multi‑million‑dollar grant funding program. Guide applicants through the application process via the SmartSimple platform, perform initial compliance screening and coordinate feedback. Support funded ultimate recipients with their environmental reporting requirements and act as primary liaison with CFIN’s contracted carbon accounting specialists to ensure accurate quantification of GHG reductions and other environmental metrics. Lead collaboration with CFIN’s ecosystem partners to provide wrap‑around support, mentorship, and investor readiness training to funded SMEs, maximizing their commercialization outcomes. Manage quarterly progress reporting and work with the Finance team to validate financial claims submitted via DEXT. Collaborate with the Communications team to extract project results, success stories, and data to develop high‑impact knowledge transfer materials (videos, articles) for the wider food sector. Assist in the logistics of the technical review process, ensuring external reviewers and the Innovation Advisory Council have access to necessary documentation and scoring rubrics. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in business administration, program management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years of work experience with a focus on program management, grant administration, or economic development. Strong service‑orientation and the ability to maintain a professional attitude while guiding highly innovative entrepreneurs. Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or grant management platforms; experience with SmartSimple and DEXT is considered a strong asset. Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset. Exposure to clean technology, sustainability initiatives, or GHG emission reduction programs is of interest, but not necessary.
