Position Summary Assists in the leadership of the Front End and department processes, responds to problems and inquiries, and develops associates through teaching and training. Ensures a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion. Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the sales floor as required. What You’ll Do Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate. Ensuring safe work processes and emergency procedures are followed (e.g., safe lifting techniques, cleanliness of area, evacuations, down registers, emergency codes, theft prevention). Handling customer and associate concerns and providing guidance as required. Delegating, assisting and following up overall front‑end operations, ensuring proper coverage and coordinating breaks. Reviewing completed schedules with the People Lead. Touring assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities, developing associates through teaching and training and providing feedback as needed. Ensuring strong communication with associates, leading the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and providing the team with updates, setting goals, and tracking productivity (e.g., scanning accuracy, productivity, company programs, initiatives, discounts, credit card service, Walmart Protection Plan, charity events). Contributing to a safe, clean and hazard‑free work environment through adherence to company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris. Completing GTA/Workday tasks and supporting management. Partnering with the Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for associates and supporting recruiting and hiring of new associates. Minimum hourly rate of pay: $20.85.
