About the Role Centrix Control Solutions is expanding its team and has an immediate opening for a Project Specialist / Inside Sales Representative who will work closely with our Technical (Outside) Sales Representatives and internal teams to drive project and product sales, by delivering exceptional service and technical support to our customers. Responsibilities include acting as a technical resource for our staff and customers, preparing quotations, processing orders, and ensuring timely delivery. Based in our Port Coquitlam office, the successful candidate plays a vital role in supporting our customer base across BC, Yukon, and NWT. Our core markets include water & wastewater, mining, pulp & paper, oil & gas, and food & beverage. Responsibilities Develop a deep understanding of Centrix products and services, and confidently communicate their value and functionality to customers Act as a technical resource for our staff Build strong relationships with our customers, Centrix teams, and principals Analyze customer‑provided application and process information to assess product suitability Proactively identify opportunities to add additional scope to customer inquiries Ability to quote and manage project opportunities from initial identification through to successful bid completion, collaborating effectively with multiple customers and vendors throughout the process Gather all required technical and commercial details to quote confidently Understand pricing structures, discounts, and contract terms Prepare and send technical and commercial quotations Proactively follow up on quotes, leads, and customer interactions Assist with closing deals, especially for smaller or repeat orders Manage and prioritize sales opportunity pipeline, collaborating with our Technical Sales Representatives Know when to walk away from an opportunity Follow up post‑sale with customers to uncover repeat business or service needs Snapshot of How You’ll Contribute Self‑motivated professional with strong problem‑solving skills and a customer‑first mindset You thrive in a fast‑paced environment with many moving parts and value collaboration, accuracy, and continuous learning Strong interpersonal & communication skills Ability to work with difficult customers and resolve problems and issues Computer skills; Microsoft Office suite Who We’re Looking For Undergraduate degree in Engineering or an Engineering Technologist diploma Post secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or Instrumentation Technology Minimum 3 years of industry experience within municipal, mining, and/or pulp & paper industries 2–3 years of experience in a technical, project coordination, or inside sales role within the industrial, manufacturing, or controls industry (valves, instrumentation, or automation experience is a strong asset) Experience preparing technical quotations, proposals, and costing in collaboration with engineering and sales teams Why Choose CENTRIX?
