Definity, a leading employer in Canada’s property and casualty sector, is seeking a leader to drive system transformation and process improvement across its Commercial Insurance business. The role combines project management, process optimization, and team leadership. Responsibilities Project and Process Management: Analyze current state processes, consolidate findings, and recommend improvements. Provide recommendations for future state solutions and gain alignment with stakeholders. People Management and Leadership: Develop, coach, mentor, and manage direct reports, evolving team competencies to meet organizational needs. Initiative Delivery: Design and maintain delivery roadmaps, secure resources, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure delivery team engagement. Partnership Development: Foster collaboration and continuous learning across delivery teams and functional areas. Build and maintain relationships with business, technical teams, external vendors, and senior stakeholders. Provide business direction on process improvement initiatives, translate strategic plans into tactical goals, and support implementation of the Commercial Insurance strategic plan. Qualifications University degree in a related discipline. 3–5+ years of leadership/management experience. 3–5+ years experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma, Systems Thinking, or similar process improvement methodologies. 3–5+ years of project management experience. P&C insurance industry expertise and knowledge of broker models and technologies (preferred). Relevant certifications such as PMP (preferred). Knowledge of project planning and delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence. Track record of success in process improvement, change management, and operating model transformations. Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships with senior leaders and external vendors. Excellent business acumen and communication skills. Ability to establish clarity around change impacts and influence stakeholders proactively. Strategic thinking and creative problem‑solving abilities.
