CertainTeed Canada, a Saint‑Gobain Company, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager, Technical Insulation to provide national commercial and technical leadership for our Technical (Mechanical) Insulation portfolio. This is an important role designed for a highly credible commercial and technical expert who can influence strategy, contracts, and customer outcomes. The role serves as a key authority across internal teams, distribution partners, and strategic customers, with meaningful impact on business growth. Key Responsibilities National Commercial Leadership Lead the national strategy for the Technical / Mechanical Insulation portfolio, including market positioning, growth initiatives, and channel execution. Provide senior‑level commercial insight to support revenue growth, margin optimization, and long‑term business planning. Influence portfolio, pricing, and go‑to‑market decisions through market, technical, and financial analysis. Establish and manage national pricing strategies, discount structures, and commercial frameworks. Lead or support negotiation of complex pricing arrangements and commercial agreements with key national and strategic customers. Ensure pricing and contract terms align with corporate margin, risk, and compliance requirements. Channel & Customer Expertise Act as a trusted commercial partner to distributor channels across Canada. Provide strategic guidance on pricing, product positioning, and customer‑specific solutions. Technical Leadership Serve as the national technical subject‑matter expert for mechanical insulation systems in industrial and commercial markets. Support complex project specifications, system design requirements, and performance criteria as required with the Project Sales team. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Sales (NAM), Marketing, Finance, Legal, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to ensure commercial and technical success. Provide expert input into technical documentation, commercial proposals, and integrated customer solutions. Industry & Market Engagement Represent Saint‑Gobain and CertainTeed as a senior technical and commercial expert in provincial and national industry associations. Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory developments affecting the technical insulation market. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of progressive experience in insulation, building materials, or industrial products. Strong background in pricing strategy, commercial frameworks, and contract negotiation. Demonstrated ability to operate at a senior, national level within a complex, matrixed organization. High credibility as both a technical authority and commercial leader.
