Project Coordinator – Aecon Utilities Reporting to the Superintendent, the Project Coordinator will provide coordination and support to various aspects of operations to ensure the efficient and profitable execution of the installation of underground utility infrastructure. Assist in the efficient scheduling of work crews. Perform site previews or inspections to prepare for locate requests. Meet utilities on site to assist in accurate and timely locates. Assist in inventory management and control of related systems. Coordinate and procure specialty materials and tooling. Assist in small or specialty tool inventory management, control, maintenance, and certification. Conduct daily scanning of idle or repair‑down heavy equipment. Create and monitor weekly equipment idling reports and correct misallocations. Review and summarize weekly equipment utilization reports and correct misallocations. Track and maintain area‑specific training matrices. Lead and direct maintenance for operational yard facilities. Assist in the development of annual pricing agreements from regular vendors. Assist in the acquisition of required safety or experience documentation from subcontractors. Ensure compliance with Aecon Health & Safety and Environmental Manual for safety inspections and reporting. Review, track, and summarize Quality Assurance non‑conformances and ensure appropriate training and follow‑up. Ensure the safe and organized status of materials and equipment in outside yard areas. Receive, validate, off‑load, handle, and process related paperwork for incoming materials from vendors. Query, analyze, and report on data from various systems to assist in operational efficiency. Generate reports as required by major customers. Provide deliveries of rush materials or tooling to crews as required. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required. Qualifications Champion of inclusion and diversity. Recent college graduate in Civil / Construction Technologist or Technician. Experience in the utility construction industry is an asset. Strong computer skills – Microsoft Excel, Word, Project. Strong oral and written communication skills. Self‑motivated with good organizational skills. Adaptable to a flexible schedule when required to meet deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Salary Expected salary: $60,000 – $75,000, determined by location, education, experience, and skills.
