About BHP Potash – Jansen The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometres east of Saskatoon. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, it is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long‑term roles. Work Location This role is based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. The work schedule is seven days on, seven days off. For those not living locally, relocation assistance is provided. Accommodation is available at Discovery Lodge during shifts. Purpose Recruit permanent Mining Trade and Operations Supervisors for future requirements at BHP Potash. This position is being advertised to build a talent pool for upcoming opportunities. About The Role Supervise operational activities to enable continuous safe operations. Ensure safe, quality work execution of trades and contractors. Promote compliance with work instructions and operational procedures. Drive business improvement through performance measurement. Translate corporate objectives into actionable plans and report progress. Identify and assess risks, make risk‑informed decisions and build a risk‑aware culture. Conduct routine operational and safety meetings to prepare and manage workload. Evaluate safety and operational performance and drive changes to maximise safety, cost and volume performance. Embed practices/tools that enable teams to identify improvement opportunities and detect deviations in daily mining and production activities. About You 5+ years mining supervisor experience. Prior experience leading a team or training experience is recommended. Red Seal certification (trade roles). Mine supervisor certification. Demonstrated experience in managing teams and overseeing projects. Strong communication skills. Aptitude for building and maintaining strong relationships.
