What You’ll Be Doing Own commercial contracting end‑to‑end: drafting, reviewing, negotiating customer agreements and maintaining contract workflows. Provide legal support on corporate governance, board and audit committee materials, financings, and strategic transactions. Mediate external counsel relationships and collaborate with HR on employment matters. Compliance Lead the compliance function, overseeing a team that ensures KEV meets obligations across all jurisdictions. Build a rigorous yet pragmatic compliance program for privacy regulations (GDPR, FERPA), financial compliance as a registered ISO and payments processor, and embed compliance into product, finance, and people processes. Security Governance Oversee KEV’s security governance, working with technology to maintain current policies, frameworks, and certifications (SOC 2, etc.). Manage vendor risk assessments, support security audits, and maintain an up‑to‑date security posture aligned with growth. Team Leadership Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team spanning legal, compliance, and security governance. Set direction, remove blockers, and create an environment where people thrive through clarity, trust, and purpose. Building the Function Shape a modern, high‑functioning legal, compliance, and security team by building scalable processes, automating opportunities, and leveraging legal technology. What You Bring 7+ years’ experience in legal, compliance, and/or security governance with a strong foundation in commercial contracting and corporate matters. Law degree (LL.B./J.D.). Background in B2B SaaS or fintech preferred. Proven team‑building and leadership experience. Sharp judgment, practical risk approach, and strong communication across sales, finance, product, and C‑suite. Comfortable in ambiguity and enthusiastic about scaling impact with tools and tech.
