Job Title: QA Engineer Type: Full-Time Start Date: Immediate Location: Canada and Azores Job Description Reporting to the QA team lead, the QA Engineer is responsible for developing andperforming integration and software testing for the in-house developed Connexallsoftware. The successful candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solvingand communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively within the QA team andacross the organization. The candidate demonstrates a passion and in-depthknowledge of software processes, quality assurance, test planning, and QA testing tools. Primary Responsibilities Understand and follow GlobeStar’s ISO- Quality ManagementSystem, and all relevant operating procedures and work instructions. Develop, document, and execute test protocols and cases for Connexallapplications that can vary in complexity from software-only testing tointegrations with multiple external hardware and/or software systems. Report and track product defects using industry-standard tools. Assist in creating test plans in partnership with development and subject matterexperts. Work closely with software team throughout the development process to createtest scenarios for developed product features. Track defects to closure and retest the defects as required. Post production support in reproducing production issues. Working closely withother departments and communicating with the end user to find the root causeof the incident reported. Advise QA Team Lead and peer team members on leveraging test assets andpractices across the team. Support troubleshooting through solid analytical reasoning. Create and maintain integration guides. Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes anddeliverables. Other duties, as necessary. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent, with 2+years of professional testing experience in an organization working on software QA. Strong technical skills in basic networking and technologies (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP,SMTP etc.) Strong technical skills with Windows Desktop and Server operating systemsincluding set up and configuration. Strong technical skills on both Android and Apple iOS devices and their relatedoperating systems. Solid experience with test case management and reporting. Excellent understanding of API, Web service, console application, and windowsservices. As well as testing techniques and tools to support the QA cycle. Extensive experience using test case, Bug Tracking, and other QA tools (Testrail,Jira, Fogbugz, etc). Experience with basic port and vulnerability scanning tools an asset (OpenVAS,Nessus, NMAP,etc). Good command of English, both verbal and written (ability to write technicaldocumentation and communicate with product teams) Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Self‑motivated / able to work on multiple tasks without constant supervision Ability to prioritize, focus and drive tasks to completion Ability to analyze software data flows, establish, design and document testmethodologies Ability to run test scenarios, analyze and document test results and identify andreport defects Excellent inter‑personal and communications skills Competitive annual salary.
