Your Role Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Key Account Manager is responsible for the strategic management, development, and growth of major foodservice and national accounts across Canada. You play a critical role in driving revenue and strengthening Solina’s market position by developing high-level partnerships with key customers, distributors, and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs). As a senior sales leader, you manage complex commercial agreements, identify national growth opportunities, and deliver tailored, value-added solutions that align with customers’ operational and strategic objectives. You are expected to contribute immediately and operate with a high level of autonomy, ownership, and accountability. Your Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned national and key accounts; Drive business development initiatives within the foodservice and industrial segments; Identify and secure new national opportunities while expanding existing partnerships; Lead high-level negotiations for short-, medium-, and long-term commercial agreements; Manage relationships with distributors, GPOs, and purchasing networks at a national level; Ensure achievement of sales targets and profitability objectives; Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and account performance to recommend strategic actions; Present new product innovations and promotional initiatives to key stakeholders; Lead business reviews by preparing and presenting detailed performance analyses; Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (R&D, operations, marketing, supply chain) to deliver customized solutions; Manage customer issues, claims, and escalations with professionalism and urgency; Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management within the CRM system; Oversee promotional investments and ensure ROI alignment; Perform administrative tasks related to key account management; Frequent travel across Canada for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events. Your Profile Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience representing a food manufacturer within the foodservice and/or industrial segments; Proven experience managing national or key accounts in the foodservice manufacturing sector; Strong understanding of distributor networks and GPO structures across Canada; Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements; Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets; Strategic mindset with strong analytical and financial acumen; Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and French; Highly autonomous, results-driven, and solution-oriented; Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple large accounts simultaneously; Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems; Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle; Availability to travel nationally.
