Position Overview The AIA Youth Initiatives Director of Program Curriculum and Training shapes the core experience for every participant, coach and volunteer. By overseeing the evolution of the More Than a Game (spiritual) and sport‑specific (physical) curricula, you will ensure a consistent, transformative journey nationwide. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between athletic excellence and spiritual growth – helping others know Jesus and thrive in faith, life and sport. This role would also sit on the AIA Youth Initiatives Leadership Team, taking on the shared responsibility for leading the division in its fulfillment of the mission and vision of AIA. Primary Objectives 1. Oversee the development of a portfolio of More Than a Game Curriculum for Youth Initiative programs Work with staff to create a minimum of four seasons of MTAG for summer camps. Work with staff to update, refine and publish the MTAG camp curriculum annually. Work with staff to gather and centralize More Than a Game material for club, clinic and academy programs. Identify the best way to gather and share these resources. 2. Ensure Sport Programming reflects current national standards of physical development Align camp and program sport specific training with Canada Sport guidelines and recommendations for developing athletes. Update and maintain sport specific training resources on AIA’s Coach HQ. Annually review sport development guidelines to ensure alignment with AIA programs. 3. Ensure implementation of MTAG and Sport Programming nationally Update and maintain coach training manuals. Provide oversight to the training methods and content that coaches experience when working with Athletes in Action. Ensure Staff are regularly developed and equipped to train their teams in the areas of MTAG and Sport Programming. Education & Experience University degree or equivalent. Ministry experience in church, para‑church and/or sports ministry. Coaching experience and base level certification in minimum 1 sport. Experience writing and developing curriculum. Experience in training individuals and groups. About you A deep and growing relationship with Jesus and desire to continue to grow as a leader. Working knowledge of Google’s G Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Sites). Ability to train others in both simple and complex ideas. An understanding of and passion for the athletic world and the integration of faith and sport. Good time management, flexibility and willingness to take initiative.
