Limited by overseeing accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role supports long-haul operations and Storage services by analyzing costs, revenues, and budgeting related to fleet management, fuel usage, cross-border logistics, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Financial Analyst also ensures adherence to industry-specific financial regulations, assists in strategic planning, and provides guidance to the finance team to enhance overall efficiency, profitability, and financial decision-making.REPORTS TO: This position reports to the Vice President, Finance.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with Board Reports.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.Manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries for accuracy and completeness.Coordinate external review engagements and liaise with the external accounting firm to ensure accurate and timely completionAssists in budgeting and forecasting processes and support department heads with financial planning.Analyze complex financial data and provide detailed reports and recommendations to senior management.Support treasury and cash flow management activities.Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure high-quality performance.Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance financial integrity.Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, HR, and IT to align financial goals with business objectives.The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
