Overview Responsible for providing a critical engineering resource that will allow other subject experts to focus on high priority R&D projects. Travel is expected to be approximately 50%, with the remaining 50% worked remotely. Trip length will vary depending on the project. What You’ll Do Lead and support MPU commissioning, startup, and field support operations Provide oversight and technical direction to OEMs and MPU equipment manufacturers Ensure compliance with HSE, MSHA, OSHA, and hazardous materials regulations Review and validate equipment design, fabrication, and engineering standards Support mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system troubleshooting Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, user manuals, and operational procedures Conduct design reviews and vendor coordination for equipment fabrication Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment performance Maintain and update MPU specifications and engineering standards Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and field teams What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent underground / mining experience 5+ years in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy equipment environments Strong experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and equipment diagnostics Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Proficiency in CAD (2D/3D) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player What We Offer Paid vacation time + paid holidays Health Care + Life insurance + AD&D RRSP + RPP (after 1 year of continuous employment) Employee Assistance Program Friendly and supportive coworkers Values and Equal Opportunity Zero Harm for Everyone EverywhereValue People – Respect, Recognize & RewardThink Customer.
