Your day at a glance: Designing engaging, learner‑centred experiences across multiple formats (e‑learning, blended learning, instructor‑led, microlearning) Creating interactive learning experiences that drive knowledge retention and skill application Collaborating with subject matter experts, trainers, and cross‑functional teams Incorporating feedback and learning data to continuously improve training content Maintaining content quality, consistency, and alignment with standards and learning objectives Working with product, and R&D teams to understand the platform so that you can design the best course flow to explain it to technical and non‑technical audiences Analyzing learning requirements associated with upcoming products and features Designing courses around audience objectives, while maintaining modularity and consistency within Genetec’s course catalog Developing materials for classroom training, online instructor‑led, and self‑paced courses, including presentation slides, training exercises, scenario‑based exams, and reference videos Ensuring course certification criteria are aligned with skills required for successful deployment, maintenance and operation of Genetec’s products Following standard courseware development, review, and continuous improvement processes Delivering occasional courses at Genetec’s Montreal office to employees and customers to gather feedback and refine materials Ensuring trainer readiness through train‑the‑trainer activities Recommending tools and infrastructure, including hardware kits and digital course resources, to support learning activities Ce qui fait de vous un excellent candidat : Licence en informatique, génie informatique, conception pédagogique, éducation, technologies éducatives ou expérience équivalente Capacité à communiquer clairement le fonctionnement des technologies à un public varié, technique ou non Capacité à apprendre rapidement à utiliser les produits, à formuler des stratégies d'enseignement et à créer des contenus pédagogiques attrayants Excellentes compétences en communication en anglais et en français, à l'écrit comme à l'oral Reconnu comme un excellent collaborateur, capable de faciliter la collaboration entre les équipes Bonne compréhension des principes d'apprentissage des adultes et des méthodologies de conception pédagogique Capacité à comprendre rapidement et à travailler avec du contenu technique Solides compétences en communication, en collaboration et en organisation Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais, à l'oral comme à l'écrit (ce poste nécessite d'interagir avec nos collaborateurs et clients internationaux) What makes you a great fit: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or equivalent experience Ability to clearly communicate how technology works to a range of technical and non‑technical audiences Ability to learn products quickly, formulate teaching strategies, and create compelling learning content Excellent communication skills in English and French, both written and verbal Recognized as a great team player, with an ability to ease collaboration between teams Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies Ability to quickly understand and work with technical content Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Fluent in French and English, both verbal and written (this role requires interaction with our international collaborators and customers) Your technical expertise: Excellent knowledge of networking principles and the Internet Protocol Experience with storage, database, and client‑server architectures Experience with multimedia content (video, audio, interactive elements) Interest in modern learning approaches (microlearning, AI‑enabled learning, blended solutions) Experience in instructional design, courseware development, or learning experience design Experience with e‑learning authoring tools An asset if you have: Knowledge of IP Video Surveillance, Access Control, and ALPR Familiarity with cloud‑based architectures and cybersecurity concepts Let's talk perks!
