Job Summary The Named Account Manager is a significant driver of company revenue and growth. As an experienced and dynamic sales professional, you’ll lead and drive sales engagements to address critical challenges in our customers’ secure environments, connecting them to a solution at every stage of threat prevention. You’ll be responsible for meeting and exceeding your quota by crafting and implementing strategic territory plans targeting deployments of the Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform. This is a unique opportunity for a closer with a go-getter mentality to win business and market share by actively displacing competing technologies, building a truly zero-trust security architecture for customers, and guiding them through critical transformations. We provide an immersive onboarding program, FLIGHT, that blends virtual and in-person learning at our headquarters to ensure new hires emerge as well-prepared sales professionals. Your Impact Drive and orchestrate complex sales cycles and coordinate with internal partners to serve customers. Leverage consultative selling skills to build long-standing relationships with prospective customers and executive sponsors. Create and implement strategic account plans focused on attaining enterprise-wide deployments. Understand the competitive landscape and customer needs to position Palo Alto Networks effectively. Apply a programmatic approach to demand generation, development, and expansion within your territory. Create compelling value propositions using prospect stories and insights tailored to each account. Stay updated on industry news and trends and how they affect Palo Alto Networks products and services. Travel as necessary within your territory and to company-wide meetings. Your Experience Experience and knowledge of SaaS-based architectures, ideally in a networking and/or security context. Experience cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with channel partners to bring a channel-centric go-to-market approach. Ability to lead all aspects of the sales cycle, from uncovering and qualifying to developing and closing new white-space territories and accounts. Track record of selling complex solutions. Excellent time management skills, working autonomously and with high levels of self-direction. Highly competitive, able to ramp quickly, extremely adaptive, and pride yourself on exceeding production goals. Compensation Disclosure The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary plus commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus.
