Overview Cella is actively seeking a SharePoint Web Publisher to join our client's team on a contract basis. As a SharePoint Web Publisher , you will play a key role in shaping and maintaining a high-quality corporate intranet experience. You will support content owners across the organization by ensuring information is clear, accessible, well-structured, and easy to find. In this role, you will publish pages, documents, and graphics using SharePoint Online while applying best practices in information architecture, UX design, accessibility (WCAG), and content governance. We are seeking a candidate with deep, hands-on SharePoint expertise who understands not only how to publish content but how the platform scales in a large enterprise environment. You will be a subject matter expert, helping to support others in using the tool effectively while driving a seamless user experience. This is a 12-month contract, which requires the talent to work onsite at our client\'s office 1-3 days per week depending on business needs. Responsibilities SharePoint Publishing and Site Management Build, edit, and publish SharePoint pages while managing content libraries, lists, permissions, and metadata. Support site owners with publishing requests, content updates, and technical troubleshooting. Work across both SharePoint Classic and SharePoint Modern environments. Support migrations from SharePoint Classic to Modern by mapping content, redesigning pages, and improving Information Architecture (IA). Maintain rigorous standards for governance, page templates, navigation, and overall content quality. Organize content to improve findability and overall user experience. Apply UX principles to page layout, navigation, and flow to ensure intuitive design. Recommend continuous improvements that enhance usability and align with intranet standards. Content Quality & Accessibility Review content for clarity, accuracy, structure, and consistency. Ensure all digital content meets WCAG 2.1+ accessibility requirements. Conduct comprehensive QA checks prior to publishing, including formatting and functional testing. Partner with Communications, business units, and various stakeholders to deliver high-impact pages. Provide expert guidance on SharePoint best practices and enterprise governance. Support large-scale content projects, redesign efforts, and content modernization initiatives. Requirements SharePoint Expertise: Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience with SharePoint, specifically publishing internal content in a large enterprise environment. Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience using both SharePoint Classic and Modern, including site creation, web parts, and permissions management. Accessibility Standards: Strong understanding of WCAG guidelines and accessible content design (headings, alt-text, contrast, and readability). Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex IA concepts into user-friendly instructions. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and proven collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with high-level stakeholders. Industry Experience: Previous experience working within Financial Institutions (FI) or a similar large corporate enterprise. Microsoft 365 Ecosystem: Familiarity with tools beyond SharePoint, such as Microsoft Viva, Teams, or Power Automate. Design Tools: Basic image editing skills (e.g., Photoshop).
