Key Job Responsibilities Own building Amazon first ground‑up tech capabilities and products. Lead building technology that innovates for the fast growing e‑commerce domain in India and beyond. Define and execute strategic projects aimed at building best‑in‑class experience for customer and delivery experience. Have end‑to‑end ownership of cross‑functional projects, including product definition, roadmap/resource planning, and project execution. Work closely with product, business, category, and marketing leadership, including executive leadership at Amazon, to define the product and build vision for the program. Drive delivery of critical technical initiatives, from building the vision to designing solutions with Amazon first innovation and leveraging Amazon's global technology solutions, delivering high‑quality scalable tech capabilities. Lead through exceptional engineers, working closely with technical program managers and principal engineers while hiring and developing a world‑class engineering team. Drive culture for the team and organization, championing diversity and inclusion. Provide leadership and innovation in designing and implementing services to enable new products and services. Establish strong project management processes, standards and guidelines for high velocity and high impact deliveries. Champion operation and engineering practices, exemplifying scalable product development lifecycle practices. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of engineering team management experience. 7+ years of engineering experience. 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi‑tier web services. Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations. Experience partnering with product or program management teams. Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability and scaling). Preferred Qualifications Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy. Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and effectiveness. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
