This is a key leadership role in our established multidisciplinary and growing team, focused on Alternative Delivery projects (Design-Build, IPD, P3, MDB) for both the public and private sector clients.Lead architectural design and project delivery on Alternative Delivery projectsServe as the primary client interface, managing expectations and building strong relationshipsProvide strategic oversight for multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring design intent is realized from concept through constructionPrepare and review design documentation, construction details, specifications, and cost estimatesMentor junior staff and provide technical leadership within the teamCollaborate with internal and external consultants, contractors, and stakeholdersContribute to business development, proposals, and project planning initiativesEnsure compliance with the Ontario Building Code and established architectural standardsLead projects through all phases of delivery (pre-design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents)Manage consultant coordination, schedules, and deliverables under tight deadlinesPrepare and coordinate the development of reports, drawings, specifications, and presentation materialsManage client relationships and participate in or facilitate meetings with clients, stakeholders, and end usersQualificationsBachelor’s degree in ArchitectureLicensed Architect with the OAA, or licensed in another province with eligibility to obtain OAA licensure6+ years of experience on complex building projectsProven experience with Alternative Delivery models (Design-Build, IPD, P3, MDB)Proficiency in RevitClient-facing experience with strong communication and presentation skillsEligible for security clearance(s)Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Architecture or equivalent experience10+ years of experience on complex building projectsExperience with Federal or Defense projectsStrong knowledge of the National Building Code and Ontario Building Code, as well as building systemsExperience in project management for large-scale projectsHigh level of proficiency in Revit, with working knowledge of AutoCADKnowledge of Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, and visualization tools such as Enscape and V-RayProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and BluebeamExperience with permitting and approvals processes in Canadian municipalitiesAbility to lead design workshops, engage with end-users, and deliver client presentationsFrench is considered an assetAdditional InformationSponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this positionAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
