The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor and will comprise approximately 65–75 % clinical activities and 25–35 % scholarly activities. The anticipated start date is September 1, 2026, or a mutually agreed upon date thereafter. Qualifications MD degree. Eligibility for, and preferably current, certification in Geriatric Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Demonstrated clinical excellence in geriatric medicine. For a Clinician Teacher: experience across inpatient and outpatient specialised geriatric services, including geriatric trauma and burn services; scholarly contributions to teaching and education (undergraduate and graduate level), teaching awards, pedagogical innovation, and curriculum development; advanced training or graduate studies relevant to geriatric care. For a Clinician in Quality and Innovation: advanced training in quality improvement or equivalent; successful quality improvement initiatives, evidence of practice or equipment innovations, and invitations to significant conferences or accolades; collaborative partnerships related to quality and innovation with health care teams, organizations, and community agencies. Responsibilities Provide clinical care of patients on the inpatient consult service and outpatient follow‑up as required. Deliver comprehensive geriatric assessment and management of frail older adults with complex medical, psychosocial, and functional issues in an outpatient setting. Collaborate with interprofessional teams in specialised geriatric services, primary care providers, community agencies, and other subspecialists. Participate in the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs of the University of Toronto. Engage in clinical research and quality improvement programmes as appropriate. Benefits Estimated remuneration $300,000–400,000 (fee for service/alternate funding plan estimate), commensurate with academic rank, qualifications and experience.
