The Opportunity Survey Crew Lead – Edmonton, primarily focused on legal/boundary surveys for projects such as roads, subdivisions, pipelines, and wellsites. What You'll Be Doing Set‑up and operate a range of survey equipment. Perform correct surveying methods, document work on field notes, and submit data to the office. Conduct field activities required to complete boundary surveys such as placing or searching for stakes, marks, control points and other survey monuments, or identifying buried utilities. Complete field surveys for geomatics and engineering projects, including property corner identification, boundary monumentation, evidence searches, and topographic surveys. Use the latest instruments and emerging technologies. Work with Project Managers to understand project objectives, budgets, goals, schedules, and timeframes. Develop processing and calculating skills to broaden knowledge of survey operations. Work semi‑autonomously to manage surveying tasks, fully supported by the project team. Ensure implementation of quality assurance, safety, and policy compliance. What You'll Bring Proactive approach to health and safety, including hazard identification and mitigation. Two‑year technical diploma in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related subject with at least 2 years of related experience; higher experience may be considered if no diploma. Competence in operating Total Stations. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and share knowledge. Physical ability to work on varied terrain, lift heavy equipment, and work long days. Experience operating UTVs, ATVs, and snowmobiles. Fundamental understanding of line locating and working around buried utilities. Experience with Civil 3D, MicroSurvey, and Trimble Business Centre is an asset. Valid driver’s license is required.
