Responsible to coordinate aircraft troubleshooting duties and defect rectification.Essential Position Functions:Provide Technical guidance & trouble shooting assistance for all maintenance carried out on companyGuides and directs Cargojet, contracted maintenance organizations to ensure compliance, maintenance requirements, maximum serviceability of aircraft, on time performance and aircraft utilization in accordance with Cargojet Policy and Procedures.Manage the technical dispatch of all Cargojet and Customer aircraft in conformance with applicable standards of Airworthiness.Act as a focal point of contact for all Maintenance activities including irregular (IROPS) and emergency operations.Moderate and attend production meetings and maintain shiftMonitor all defects and applied MEL's to ensure expiration dates are not exceeded and ETOPS critical items are identified. Coordinate, Issue, support troubleshooting, resolution and track MEL/CDL/DMI.Coordinate parts manpower facilities and aircraft down time for the rectification ofEnsure adequate resources are available to support MCCMonitor Engine Oil consumption, ETOPS and RVSMCoordinate and document events such as robbedResponsible for organizing repair efforts on out-of-service aircraft and AOG events.Assign, co-ordinate, and ensure the timely completion of work being carried out by the Technicians on CompanyStay current with all technical and regulatory training required to function in the assigned role.Responsible to meet shift workload requirements and coordinate Maintenance ShiftParticipate in team memberCoordinate and communicate with departments e., Dispatch, Management, and Flight Operations etc.Follow company procedures for maintenance controlKnowledgeable with all company and government manuals andContinuously update the Sr. Director of MCC, and other senior management (as needed) on the operational status of the fleet.Responsible for your training, remain current with all technical and regulatory training requirements to function in the assigned roleEnsure a clean and safe workplace for teamEnsure compliance with Safety Management System (SMS) and safety / security policies, procedures and standards.Perform any other duties as assigned.Key Objectives:Team members are required to possess an Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) Licence issued by the Ministry of Transport (Canada) which permits them to certify aircraft as ready and is in sound condition for flight.This is supporting the mechanical work at the skilled level involving the repair, rebuilding, overhaul, maintenance and servicing of aircraft operated by Cargojet and mechanical repair work on accessories.Assignments are made to team members by means of verbal or writtenEnsure, requirement maintenance, proactive maintenance actions and predictive maintenance principals are applied.Coordinates the performance of structural repairs on aircraft and liaison with external engineering services as required.Performs other related duties as assigned on Cargojet’s fleet of aircraft and equipment in an efficient and effective manner with a high degree of quality.Provide a high level of aircraft Technical Dispatch Reliability.Key Responsibilities:Service, inspect, troubleshooting and repair aircraft procedures.Ensure that all aircraft & equipment are maintained and serviced in a timelyCarries out assignments of daily aircraft maintenance and overhaulReview reporting of aircraft and engine status, makes repairs, replacements and adjustments, in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.May be required to fly with aircraft as flight engineer.Key Competency Requirements:Ability operate Aircraft and Engines and taxi Cargojet’sAbility to Taxi and perform engine runs as approved by Cargojet’s QualityRequired to lift weight 50 lbs (fifty pounds) for component replacements.Knowledge, Abilities & Skills:Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and inspectionKnowledge of aircraft materials and parts and the regulations governing their acceptance for registered aircraft and the process of quarantine action.Knowledge of safety precautions and fireAbility to select and record data necessary to substantiateProficiency in the use of measuring instruments and testAbility to sequence work programs.Education, Training & Experience:Education normally obtained through years of progressive education and Post-Secondary Aircraft Technical Training and Aircraft Endorsement courses.Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence issued by the Ministry of Transport.Required to work in an office environment, hangar or outdoors.Minimum Qualifications:Valid AME M2 License (Transport Canada).Aircraft endorsement & experience on aircraft type B757 /Minimum 5 years experience as a licensedPrevious MCC experienceAbility to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP).Ability to use computers – MS Word & Excel, MS Teams.Excellent communication skills and problem-solving.Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work well under pressure.Important to Know:Cargojet is an equal opportunity employer.
