This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supports event settlement and reporting processes, and maintains strong internal controls. The Accounting Manager works closely with the Director of Finance and operational departments to support financial decision‑making and ensure timely and accurate reporting. This multiple award‑winning building has 38,000 Sq Ft of flexible event space all within walking distance to nearby hotels, restaurants, boutiques, museums & art galleries. From a versatile ballroom/trade show floor, nine multi‑purpose meeting rooms to two reception lobbies, the VICC can accommodate up to 1,450 people.Responsibilities Accounting OperationsOversee all core accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.Review and approve bi‑weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees.Review and approve monthly general ledger account reconciliations.Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for review by the Director of Finance.Implement and maintain effective accounting controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Team Leadership and SupportHire, train, and supervise the Accounting Assistant, providing guidance and oversight to ensure efficient operations.Support Human Resources functions as needed, including maintaining employee records, administering benefits, and assisting with recruitment.Employee Relations & PolicySupport performance management processes.Partner with the HRBP on workplace investigations and disciplinary documentation.Liaison with the union.OtherSupport financial analysis and special projects as required.Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.QualificationsDegree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Progress toward a professional accounting designation (CPA) preferred.Minimum of three years of accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility, preferably within the facility management, events, or entertainment industry.Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.Experience with SAGE accounting software and ADP payroll processing preferred.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.Effective communication and customer service skills.Commitment to Diversity At OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
