* Identify and develop solutions that enhance the use of Grid Technology systems and applications* Provide technical support to the Grid Technology Support , stations, and distribution field staff* Evaluate and manage new Grid Technology projects* Create analysis work flows and associated business processes for the benefit of customer departments* Assist in setting strategic direction for Grid Technology systems and applications* Participate in the development of Hydro Ottawa’s smart grid roadmap* Support the development and use of data analytics to improve grid efficiency and maximize distribution asset life* Work co-operatively with other technology teams to enhance system and application functionality, availability, and security* Prepare budget briefs for projects and participate in overall budget and business planning processes* Provide input into system planning and distribution system standards and technology standards* Evaluate new technology, software, and equipment* Assist with managing and coordinating the successful completion of special projects as required* Special projects as required* Perform other duties as required* Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an accredited university* Professional Engineer, licensed or able to be licensed in the province of Ontario* Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of office productivity and collaboration tools, preferably G Suite* Experience in an electric utility engineering environment considered an asset* Project Management and/or PMP Certification considered an asset* Experience with advanced grid applications (SCADA, ADMS, OMS, GIS) considered an asset* Knowledge of Fibre Optic communications technology (including planning and management considered an asset* Knowledge of wireless communications technology (LTE, fixed point-to-point, point-to-multipoint) considered an asset#J-18808-Ljbffr
