About the TeamAbout the team: As the Director, Guest Marketing in Canada, you will lead the execution of marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and growth in the Canadian market. This role is responsible for translating global marketing strategy into effective local programs, while ensuring alignment with the unique dynamics of the Canadian market. You will partner cross‑functionally with product, legal, government relations, operations, and global marketing teams to support Turo’s growth and strengthen its position as Canada’s favorite way to rent a car. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement marketing strategies to increase brand visibility, engagement, and acquisition in Canada. Align local marketing with global goals while ensuring brand consistency across all channels. Drive brand marketing, PR, and content strategies to strengthen market presence. Lead initiatives for customer growth, optimize acquisition channels, and reduce churn. Execute seasonal marketing campaigns, including email and CRM strategies, to drive retention and lifetime value. Monitor campaign performance, set KPIs, and optimize tactics based on data‑driven insights. Build and lead a high‑performing marketing team, fostering innovation and managing external agencies for execution. Qualifications10+ years of marketing leadership experience, ideally in tech, travel, or marketplaces. Proven track record of scaling brands and understanding the Canadian market. Strong strategic marketing skills paired with hands‑on campaign execution experience. Experience operating within a global organization and adapting strategy to local markets. Data‑driven decision maker with experience using analytics tools and marketing automation software. Innovative and creative mindset to address market challenges and seize opportunities. Excellent communication skills, with experience in media relations and public communications. Leadership experience in building, managing, and developing high‑performing marketing teams and experience managing agencies and external partners. Compensation & BenefitsTarget base salary range in Toronto: $152,000 – $190,000 annually. Eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits. Hybrid work schedule: 3 days per week in the office (Mon, Wed, Thu).
