Sitting within the Engineering team, this role also has a dotted-line relationship to the North American Customer Success and Delivery teams to directly support customer implementations across SSO, SFTP, and data feed integrations.You will work extensively across ourAWSecosystem, particularlyCognito, S3, ECS, and Lambdato uplift and automate core workflows such as authentication setup,HRIS and SFTPdata feed integrations, and new site provisioning. This role blends light customer-facing technical guidance with deep platform engineering. You will act as the engineering owner for the systems, tooling, and processes that enable seamless onboarding for strategic accounts.5 Key CapabilitiesDesign Secure Infrastructure:Design, enhance, and maintain secure, reliable infrastructure components to support scalable authentication, data flows, and provisioning, enabling consistent performance and reducing operational risk across implementations.Automate Operational Workflows:Identify inefficiencies, remove manual steps, and build automation that improves onboarding flow, observability, and stability, enabling repeatable processes and reducing the need for engineering intervention.Engineer Integrations & Support Implementation:Implement, troubleshoot, and improve data feeds, authentication flows, and integration pathways to ensure reliable onboarding while providing clear technical support to internal stakeholders.Partner Across Teams:Collaborate with Engineering, Customer Success, Delivery, and Product to share knowledge, communicate technical concepts clearly, and support scalable onboarding processes.Drive Continuous Improvement:Strengthen core infrastructure domains by identifying opportunities to uplift design, reduce operational overhead, and improve resilience across authentication, data ingestion, and provisioning workflows.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and uplift Acorn’s AWS-based integration infrastructure, focusing on automation, reliability, and scalabilityImprove, maintain, and extend integration tooling used by internal teams (SSO setup utilities, feed processing pipelines, provisioning scripts, etc.)Lead the uplift of our HR feed integration codebase - improving performance, error handling, observability, maintainability, and documentationPartner with Customer Delivery and Success teams to troubleshoot and provide expert guidance during customer onboarding for SSO, SFTP, API usage and data feed configuration, especially for strategic accountsCreate internal CLI tools, scripts, and microservices that streamline integration processes end-to-endImprove and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates for Cognito, networking, provisioning, and tenant creationEnsure AWS Cognito, authentication surfaces, and integration pathways remain secure, stable, and aligned with best practicesParticipate in incident analysis and strengthen infrastructure to prevent recurrenceRequired Experience5+ years experience withAWS servicessuch as Cognito, Lambda, IAM, SQS, DynamoDB, ECS/Fargate, and API Gateway.Experiencedesigning and operating infrastructureusing infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation).Comfortable usingAI-assisted coding tools(e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development.Solid understanding of authentication and identity standards (SAML, OIDC, SCIM, OAuth 2.0).Experience working with SFTP, file-based integrations, ETL pipelines, or HRIS data ingestion.Experience deploying or integrating AI/LLM components (e.g. vector stores, RAG-style retrieval, or model-backed services) into production systems; familiarity with MCP is a plus.Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architectures is a strong plus.Compensation One of our core values is transparency and we believe in being upfront with candidates throughout the recruitment process, to make sure expectations are aligned.This role sits within a salary range of ($120k - $150k) + 9% RRSP contribution, commensurate with experience and qualifications.Why Join Acorn PLMS?
