This encompasses planning, design, coordination, education, implementation and evaluation of projects and initiatives as identified by the Department and the SHA. The SCPC collaborates with other Departments and areas within the Saskatchewan Health Authority to improve and standardize practice in long term care through involvement in work at the provincial level as a working member or lead/co-lead. Through this work, the SCPC ensures best practice, Resident and Family Centred Care, and alignment of practices to Accreditation Canada Standards, the Program Guidelines for Special Care Homes, and any other applicable required stipulations or law.
