About the Role We are looking for a versatile Product Engineer who builds reusable building blocks across the stack and takes end‑to‑end ownership of features. Work with product, design, and engineering to ship high‑quality software at a fast pace. Key Responsibilities Own a large portion of a product and manage projects end‑to‑end; collaborate with product and design. Research competitors, write product specs, and create wireframes. Design and implement features such as automated interview scheduling, declarative filter architectures, and in‑app signing workflows. Build reusable systems that serve multiple products and improve core infrastructure. Integrate with backend services, compile to SQL, and deploy with CI/CD pipelines. Qualifications & Fit Comfortable working across the full stack; able to write frontend, backend, or infrastructure code. Experience handling product and technical ambiguity and delivering at the intersection of the two. Strong balance of speed and quality; can ship features quickly while maintaining high quality. Passionate about continuous improvement and open to feedback. Excellent collaborator and communicator, vetting decisions with stakeholders. Ability to create leverage through automation and abstractions. History of owning projects end‑to‑end; not seeking traditional tech lead or staff‑level roles. Engineering Culture Our culture emphasizes minimal process, ownership, and collaboration. Engineers run their projects; product managers provide strategy, designers offer feedback. Rapid iteration, low bureaucracy, and a focus on high‑quality software are core to our approach. Technology Stack TypeScript (frontend & backend), React, GraphQL API, Node.js, Postgres, Redis. Benefits Competitive salary and equity. 10‑year exercise window for stock options. Unlimited PTO. Minimum 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave. Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget. $100 per month education budget. Health insurance with 100% premiums covered for US employees; supplemental coverage elsewhere. Compensation Range: CA$173K - CA$326K Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Ashby provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcome people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
