About The Opportunity The Senior Project Director plays a critical leadership role in driving the successful delivery of Wesdome’s most strategic and capital-intensive projects. This position sits at the intersection of corporate strategy and operational execution, ensuring projects are planned, governed, and delivered with discipline, transparency, and alignment to long-term business objectives. As a key partner to executive leadership, the Senior Project Director leads the development and implementation of a standardized project framework across the organization, strengthening consistency, governance, and performance across all operations. With accountability for capital allocation, portfolio oversight, and value realization, this role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while supporting sustainable growth. Position Responsibilities, Accountabilities And Job Duties Lead the planning and execution of major capital projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards Translate corporate strategy into prioritized project portfolios aligned with business objectives and capital plans Develop and implement a standardized project framework, ensuring consistency, governance, and adherence across operations Oversee project controls, including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and performance tracking Partner with site and corporate teams to support project scoping, feasibility, and execution planning Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address risks, delays, or performance gaps Provide clear, data-driven reporting and insights to executive leadership and the Board to support decision‑making Manage resource allocation across projects to optimize efficiency and delivery outcomes Foster strong collaboration and communication across cross‑functional teams and external partners Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices Drive continuous improvement by enhancing project management processes, tools, and frameworks Qualifications And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required; professional designation and PMP and/or Prosci certification considered assets. 15+ years of progressive mining experience, including leadership of complex, large‑scale projects within mining, construction, or resource sectors; experience across full project lifecycle (initiation to completion) and process plant environments. Strong understanding of project controls, construction commercial practices (including changes and variations), and financial/budget oversight; highly analytical with strong data interpretation skills. Proven ability to lead, coach, and build high‑performing teams; articulate communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills. Highly organized with strong problem‑solving capabilities; effective in cross‑functional environments with proficiency in project management tools and a commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement. Willingness to travel to remote sites; bilingualism (English/French) an asset; valid driver’s license required.
