The Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) is at the forefront of ensuring the safety of Canadians and the integrity of Canada’s financial system. As Canada’s financial intelligence unit and AML/ATF supervisor, FINTRAC helps combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and threats to the security of Canada. The Senior Solution Engineer plays a key role in designing, developing, and delivering secure, scalable digital solutions that support FINTRAC’s modernization and automation initiatives. Working collaboratively within agile, multidisciplinary teams, the role translates business requirements into effective technical solutions, leads the development of applications and workflows, and ensures alignment with enterprise architecture, privacy, and security standards.The incumbent provides technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, supports continuous improvement through DevOps and agile practices, mentors junior team members, and contributes to innovation through the adoption of modern tools, cloud services, and low code/no code platforms.Work Environment FINTRAC is a separate agency and has its own classification system. This position is classified as FC-07 and is generally comparable to (but not an exact equivalent of) the IT-03 group and level. The position requires onsite presence at FINTRAC headquarters (234 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa, Ontario) a minimum of three (3) days per week, with the remaining workdays completed remotely where operationally feasible.
